ST884: Reformed Christology

改革宗基督論

Course Description 

This course explores the Reformed doctrine of Christology. It begins with a historical analysis, providing an overview of Christology from the Reformation to the present. It then proceeds to a theological exposition, examining key topics based on Scripture: 1. the primacy and centrality of Christology; 2. the plan of salvation and the covenantal framework; 3. the person and attributes of Christ; 4. the offices and states of Christ; 5. Christ’s work of atonement, including the nature and extent of his substitutionary sacrifice; 6. Christ in the covenant: analyzing him as the mediator of the better covenant through the lens of redemptive history (horizontal) and the heavenly-earthly correspondence (vertical), with theological reflection on the Book of Hebrews. The goal of the course is to help students treasure the knowledge of Christ according to Scripture, leading them to love, serve, and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
